FAQ

General questions

Is my consultation really private?

Yes. Every appointment happens in a closed, private suite. We see one client at a time and never on an open salon floor.

Is the consultation free?

Your initial hair loss consultation is complimentary and there is no obligation. Specialized trichology analyses may carry a fee that is credited toward treatment.

What causes hair loss in women?

Common causes include genetics (female pattern hair loss), hormonal changes like menopause and post-partum, thyroid issues, iron deficiency, stress, tight hairstyles, medications and autoimmune conditions like alopecia areata.

Can thinning hair grow back?

Often, yes — if follicles are still active. Trichology treatment and our Class 3 clinical laser therapy can reduce shedding and thicken existing hair. When follicles are no longer productive, non-surgical hair replacement restores fullness instantly.

Do you offer financing?

Yes, monthly payment options are available for most programs. Ask at your consultation.

Which location should I visit?

Choose whichever is closer: our Nassau County studio or our Suffolk County studio in Commack. Both offer the full range of services.

Does insurance cover medical wigs?

Many insurance plans reimburse a cranial prosthesis with a physician’s prescription. We supply the documentation you need.

FAQ

Non-Surgical Hair Replacement

Will anyone be able to tell?

No. Systems are custom-colored, hand-tied and styled into your own hair. Most clients say their closest friends never noticed — they just said they looked great.

Is it the same as a wig?

No. A hair replacement system is a partial or full unit attached securely and blended with your growing hair. It stays on day and night and is maintained in-studio.

How long does a system last?

With proper maintenance most systems last several months to a year depending on base type and lifestyle. We build a replacement schedule into your plan.

Does attachment damage my own hair?

We use scalp-safe, breathable attachment methods and monitor your scalp at every visit so your natural hair stays healthy underneath.

FAQ

Graduated Hair Enhancement

How is this different from extensions?

Extensions add length at the lengths and ends. Enhancement adds density at the top of the head where thinning shows, which extensions cannot do.

Can I still style my hair?

Yes. You can blow-dry, curl and part your hair as usual. We will show you exactly how at your fitting.

How often is maintenance?

Typically every 4 to 6 weeks, depending on your hair growth and lifestyle.

FAQ

Clinical Laser Hair Therapy

How is a clinical laser different from an at-home cap?

Our Class 3 clinical laser delivers professional-level power in a controlled, supervised setting, which at-home caps and combs are not designed to match.

What does a session feel like?

Sessions are painless and relaxing. Most last about 20–30 minutes and there is zero downtime, so you can return to your day right away.

Does it work for everyone?

Laser therapy works best for early-stage thinning while follicles are still active. Your consultation tells you honestly whether you are a good candidate.

Is financing available?

Yes. Ask about monthly payment options at your consultation.

FAQ

Trichology & Scalp Therapy

What is a trichologist?

A trichologist specializes in the health of the hair and scalp. We identify likely causes of hair loss and scalp issues and refer to a physician when medical evaluation is needed.

What happens in a consultation?

A private conversation about your history, a magnified scalp analysis you can see on screen, and a written plan with clear next steps.

Do scalp treatments hurt?

No. Most clients describe them as relaxing — similar to a spa facial, for your scalp.

Before treatment starts is ideal so we can match your natural color and style, but we welcome you at any stage.

Can someone come with me?

Absolutely. Bring a friend or family member — your suite is private.

Luxury Hair Extensions

Will extensions damage my hair?

Not when properly chosen and installed. We specialize in fine and thinning hair and choose weight and placement to prevent stress on follicles.

How long do extensions last?

Quality human hair lasts several months to a year with move-ups every 6–8 weeks.

Which method is best?

It depends on your hair density, lifestyle and goals. We’ll recommend the safest option at your consultation.

FAQ

Volumizing Toppers & Clip-Ins

Will a topper fall off?

No. Pressure-sensitive clips hold it securely through wind and daily activity.

Can I sleep in it?

We recommend removing it at night to extend its life and let your scalp breathe.
